Hey guys you know I like to shop around when it comes to food whether it be for bargains, for something new, offers or specialist items I enjoy it and love nothing more then sharing it with you all. TFC aka the Turkish Food Centre has the most amazing array of food from Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Denmark, other Mediterranean countries and Africa. The abundance of herbs, spices, breads and such will delight everyone.

Today I want to highlight the amazing value and money that you can save by purchasing your pulses, grains etc. I didn’t need any today and picked up what you see in the main picture. Pitta bread 29p (4 for £1), hot baby peppers £1.19, mini gherkins 99P,  large peppers (like the ones from the kebab shops) £1.39, cornmeal 59p and rice flour 65p.

The cornmeal was at a much better price then I had seeing in the supermarkets and other discount shops. There are a few different brands out there which cost more but this is one of the more common and readily available ones. So straight away a saving was made. Of course if you’ve the space and money the bigger you go in weight the more money you save and the cheaper it works out. This is also the case with all the beans, pulse etc.

So what was the point of this post….nothing really just to show you a few goodies, to tell you to shop around and to show you that done right vegan can be very cheap and accessible to many. I took a few photos to show you just how much produce they stock so well worth a visit.

Please, what type of pepper (name, please – it’s not legible In the pic) are the large peppers used in kebab/falafel shops? I’m in Brazil and trying to find them. Thank you.
