Hey guys I was gifted these jars of SACLA pasta & risotto sauces at the Just V Show. I brought the parmesan cheese from the Violife stand on the same day. When I’m gifted products (which I’m most grateful for) I don’t like to just jump on Instagram or my blog and rave about a product I’ve not even tried yet. I’m still to try the wild mushroom risotto sauce & creamy whole cherry tomato sauce. I’ll let you know as soon as I get round to doing so. You can also find all my meals posted daily on IG.
I’m not going to go on and on about the sauces as there are only so many ways to describe the various pasta sauces on the market but…THESE ARE LOVELY and so well balanced with flavour! You can simply add them to pasta and they taste great as they are or you can get super creative and make bolognese, meatballs, curry’s anything you like. It takes away the hassle of starting from scratch and adds the fun of creating something new.
This was made using the No.10 Tomato Pesto which is gluten, wheat and dairy free and delicious. Tofu is used in place of cheese and gives a nice rich creamy texture meaning you don’t feel nor does it taste like anything is missing. This is a great crossover meal that vegans love and non-vegans wouldn’t even notice the difference. I added some Kale chips (just lightly oiled & salted and then baked until crispy), a generous helping of Violife parmesan which you only need a little of as it goes a long way. Also on the side was some homemade garlic ciabatta bread (recipe here). This was a 15 minute meal at most and only because the kale needed to dry and crisp up.
Made using the basil & tomato stir in a no effort tasty meal.
Again using the No.10 Tomato Pesto. One jar lasted 2 dinners for 2 people who eat a lot!

If you’ve not got a pack of this in your fridge WHERE have you been? It’s tasty and so full of flavour. Just don’t make the mistake I did of underestimating how strong it is by biting into it and then being filled with horror because it is parmesan cheese just without the animal cruelty or ingredients. A little goes so far and when well wrapped it last waaaaaay longer then the recommended life after opening. This is the small sized pack not often seen in store, however, the larger one comes in at around £4.99 but last long enough to justify the price and is so versatile it can be used in loads.
Please note that whilst most of the free from range by Sacla is vegan the Besciamella free from pasta sauce is not vegan. However, they are in the process of making a vegan version so keep a look out for that hitting the shelves.
Let me know if you’ve tried this brand and what you think.
